International open-air festival “Slavske Rock” first took place in 2007. Host сompany – “Sports and cultural initiatives”. From the foundation time on our scenes appeared almost 80 bands, from such countries as Poland, Germany, Latvia, Turkey, Great Britain, Hungary, Belarus, Sweden, Czech Republic, Italy, the best Ukrainian rock bands, and many young local bands for which festival was a great step into the future. Over 25 thousand people visited our festival, many special foreign guests, ukrainian film directors, producers, filmmakers, artists, writers were among them.

During the existence “Slavske Rock” earned a reputation as one of the best festival in Ukraine. We focus on the musical program, but at the same time, not less attention is paid to art, sports and ecological components. Our idea is to bring together active, positive minded, creative young people under the slogan “I like the Carpathians”, and also to pay attention of young people to ecological issues of the Carpathian region.

Music Program
Music Program at the festival includes two scenes – Evening (main) and Daily. Bands on Day stage are chosen on the basis of requests received during the year before each following festival. Each year we offer to the guests of festival a wide range of rock music. On our scenes appear well-known both domestic and foreign bands around the world, and the young Ukrainian groups for which the festival is a great step into the future rock career.

Environment Program
Environment Program is no less important part of “Slavske Rock”. Every year in this project we produce exhibitions, competitions, installations on ecological issues, we show thematic films, and mutually with guests of the festival we create sculptures from garbage under the guidance of artists. Supported by the international NGO WWF (World Wildlife Fund) seminares on ecological theme and various environmentally focused actions are held.

“Slavske Rock” pay particular attention to the culture of outdoor recreation. Therefore, during the festival a variety of incentive measures to comply with environment cleanliness and healthy living will be held.

Sports Program
Rock festival supports healthy lifestyle. So we always offer our guests many outdoor activities. Bicycle ride, bicycle outings, sports and entertainment games became traditional for the festival. Under the support of bicycle club “Partizan” we are able to rent bikes for guests of the festival. In addition to sports program, at the festival rope operated amusement park is functioning, sport orienteering, hikes and mushroom and berries huntings, and various collective games (football, volleyball, tug of war, etc.) are organized.

For the youngest guests of the festival in 2010 in the center of village a playground was created, that includes merry-go-round, swings and other children’s attractions for active entertainment.

Art Program
As part of the art program at the festival are held a variety of workshops, where festival guests have opportunity to show their creativity . In creative workshops, led by experienced artists, you can produce, draw, sculpt souveniers, do glass painting, body art. On “Slavske Rock” are held exhibitions of young Ukrainian and Polish artists and photo-masters, entertainment photo competition “Carpathian snapshot.” At the festival we demonstrate the films from film-festival “Open Night”

Also, we have traditionally held an international ceramic symposium “White Tree”. As part of the symposium on “Slavske Rock” are held master-classes in pottery and sculpting, where masters are teaching everyone to different techniques of art ceramics and traditional techniques of ceramic art.

Within ceramic symposium “White Tree” in 2010 was built a landscape architecture “Tree of Life” in v.Slavske. This is a collective work of a group of artists-potters, whose aim was to create in jointly and object of art that unites under a common idea bright artist individuals.

Also, in 2010 artists and mosaic makers established visual decoration of event – the mosaic mural on the theme “Seasons of the year in Slavske” . Mosaic was created at the local house of culture in Slavske.
